Mal Morgan
Mal brings 50+ years of experience in horticulture.
In 1979, Mal established the production company Glenfield Wholesale Nursery Pty Ltd with his wife Jan. Glenfield Wholesale Nursery Pty Ltd currently operates on 2 sites and is a pot production specialist nursery.
Mal established Protected Plants Pty Ltd in 1988 which manages intellectual property, sales, marketing and product development as well as plant breeding.
In 2000, Mal established NuFlora International Pty Ltd, a plant breeding company in conjunction with the University of Sydney and Graham Brown. Mal is the current CEO and major shareholder.
In 2017, Morgan Oates and Brown Pty Ltd was established as a joint venture with John Oates, Mal and Graham Brown. Mal is a Director and shareholder. Mal has been able to bring his hands on practical and creative skills, and the ability to blend commercial experience with scientific endeavour, for innovative product outcomes.

Graham Brown
Graham has a Bachelor of Science Degree, plant genetics and ecology. He started his career in plant breeding and plant disease resistance research in 1973, at the University of Sydney Plant Breeding Institute. Graham's expertise was in breeding for fungal rust diseases and was involved in breeding many commercial wheats released to farmers till 2001.
With the formation of NuFlora Graham became a full time ornamental breeder retiring from the University in 2016 but continuing as a Research Associate.
In 2000, Graham with Mal Morgan established Nuflora International. Graham became the research and development director. Graham is a shareholder and company director in Nuflora International Pty Ltd.
In 2006 Graham developed an Aloe breeding program with Mal Morgan which was incorporated in 2017 into Morgan Oates and Brown Pty Ltd in which Graham is a Director and Shareholder.
Graham brings an extensive knowledge of plant breeding , with 50 years overall in plant breeding and 30 years experience in commercial ornamental breeding and management to the company.
Dr Ruijun Li
Ruijun is our senior plant breeder. In 2005, he completed a PhD co-sponsored by Selecta in Verbena Breeding. He has continued this quest with many varieties released. His excellence in breeding was recently recognised with the prestigious USA AA-S Award for one of his 'Beat' Verbenas.
